Student Data Warehouse August Training Schedule

The purpose of this message is to share with you the schedule of our monthly Student Data Warehouse training sessions. Please RSVP to the invite for the session(s) you plan to attend at your earliest convenience. If you have not yet attended a Student Data Warehouse training or if your access to the Student Data Warehouse has not yet been granted, please contact me. Also feel free to send me an e-mail or call with any questions.

Graduate Student Tracker Introduction and Open Lab – This session will focus on the Graduate Student Tracker Dashboard (first 45 minutes) followed by an opportunity to run reports for your department or college

Date/Time: Monday, August 19 (10:00 – 11:30 AM)

Location: Clark Hall Room 505

Introduction to the Student Data Warehouse – This session is for faculty and staff who have not previously attended training or those who would like to review the basic features of the Student Data Warehouse.

Date/Time: Wednesday, August 21 (10:00 – 11:30 AM)

Location: Clark Hall Room 505

Student Data Warehouse for Intermediate Users – This session is for faculty and support staff who have previously attended a Student Data Warehouse training session. We will go into more detail on the data in the individual dashboards.

Date/Time: Monday, August 26 (10:00 – 11:30 AM)

About the Student Data Warehouse

The Student Data Warehouse leverages Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition to deliver customized dashboards and reports built with student records data. Combining records from PeopleSoft, the enrollment census, and other sources, the Student Data Warehouse facilitates access to student data for analysis and many college and department operational needs. Listed below are some sample topics the Student Data Warehouse can help you explore:

• What are the enrollment numbers in the individual colleges/departments/courses/sections ?
• What are the trends in course fill rates/FTE?
• In which courses have students been more/less successful?
• Which student populations/colleges/departments/majors have higher graduation rates?

Student Data Warehouse is available

Good morning everyone,

 

The Student Data Warehouse is up and running after maintenance completed yesterday evening. Also, this message is a reminder that we will have two training sessions next week. The Introduction to the Student Data Warehouse is scheduled for Monday 6/17 from 4 – 5pm and Student Data Warehouse for Intermediate Users is scheduled for Thursday, 6/20 from 4 – 5 pm in Clark Hall Room 505.
