Target Summer Pops

Sit on our chairs or bring your own for an evening of music on SJSU’s Tower Lawn near King Library. Here’s a peak at one of last year’s concerts (Christina Olivas photos).

Once again, San Jose State will host the Symphony Silicon Valley Target Summer Pops series. These free, family friendly outdoor concerts open 7 p.m. July 27 with the “Sounds of Summer,” an evening of full-orchestra favorites. The series continues with “The Wild Wild West,” Big Band Voodoo Daddy, “Simply Sinatra,” and “Star Wars” through Aug. 4. This year’s venue is Tower Lawn, near South Fourth and East San Fernando Streets. Sponsors include Target, the Applied Materials Foundation, the City of San Jose and KCBS.
