San Jose State completed a four-match sweep in the Spartan Invitational women’s water polo tournament with wins over Cal State Monterey Bay and Pacific in second-day action.

The Spartans (6-2), ninth-ranked in the national coaches’ poll, topped Cal State Monterey Bay, 14-4, and defeated Pacific, 10-5.

“It was a good tournament for us. We got a chance to play everybody. We had some good competition here. Pacific was a team I was concerned about.
