California State Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation Holds Hearing at SJSU

“California’s High-Tech Sector: Promoting Job Creation and Innovation through Sound Tax Policy” will be discussed at a California State Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation oversight hearing 9:30 a.m. Dec. 5 at the SJSU Student Union Music Room. This event is open to the public. Facebook Associate Manager of Public Policy Corey C. Owens, SJSU Professor of Accounting and Finance Annette Nellen, SJSU President Mohammad Qayoumi, and San Jose Director of Economic Development Kim Walesh will deliver perspectives from industry, tax experts and public-private partnerships. Other speakers will include representatives from the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, BayBio, the Legislative Analyst’s Office, Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, State Science & Technology Institute, the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Intellectual Property & Industry Research Alliances at the University of California, Berkeley, and Seifel Consulting.
