Major Changes Coming to MySJSU/HSJPRD in March

A major upgrade to MySJSU/HSJPRD is coming in March and you need to be aware of the following information:

  • You will be unable to log into MySJSU/HSJPRD between 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1 and the morning of March 6 (exact time to be determined)
  • You will see a new version of the MySJSU website on Friday, March 2 but will be unable to log in until the morning of March 6
  • On March 6 you will notice a new look and feel to the system; tutorials will be available to assist you

When the system comes back online you will be able to log in using your SJSUOne ID and password. If you have not yet done so, see Activate Account to activate your SJSUOne Account. You will need your 9-digit SJSU ID (Tower ID), your birth date and your mailing address.

Several hands-off overview sessions have been scheduled and are intended to give you a glimpse at the new version of the software. You will learn about new features and changes to existing functionality including the new self service absence management pages. This course is not required but regular users of MySJSU/HSJPRD are encouraged to attend.

This week’s sessions are full but there are plenty of seats in the sessions next week. You MUST register to attend; the sessions are not walk-in. Log into MySJSU/HSJPRD to view session dates and times and to enroll. Search for Course Code HCM999. See Search for a Course and Enroll in a Session for assistance.

Please contact the CMS Help Desk (cmshelp@sjsu.edu / 408-924-1530) if you have any questions.

CMS Help Desk Closed for Winter Holidays

The CMS Help Desk will be closed for the winter holiday as listed below. No email or phone requests will be answered when we are closed.

  • Fri, Dec 23: Open 7:30 am to 12:00 noon (only)
  • Mon, Dec 26 – Thurs, Dec 29: Closed
  • Fri, Dec 30: Open 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Mon, Jan 2: Closed

The CMS Help Desk will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 3.

When we are back in the office, emails and phone calls will be returned in the order in which they were received. We will do our best to respond to you within 2 business days, but our response may be delayed by higher than normal email volume due to the campus closure. Please do not send multiple emails as that will delay our response to you.

FIN008 CFS Data Warehouse Training

In support of the CFS Data Warehouse, the CMS Training Team has scheduled several FIN008 CSU Finance Data Warehouse training sessions. These sessions provide training on the new financial data warehouse, as well as lab time to set up report defaults and work with your own data. This training is required to gain access to the CFS Data Warehouse. If you currently run Cognos Financial reports, you need to take this training.

  • Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays, Oct 4 – Nov 17
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
  • Location: Clark Hall 505
  • Prerequisites: None

Please note that pre-enrollment in these sessions is required. You must be enrolled at least 2 business days prior to the class session so we can create your access in the database. For instructions, see Search for a Course and Enroll in a Session (pdf).

If you already have access to CFS, you will not need to complete a System Access Request form (pdf). If you do not have access to CFS, bring a signed System Access Request form to your training session.

Contact the CMS Help Desk at cmshelp@sjsu.edu or 408-924-1530 with any questions.
