This is Nellie Rochon-Ellis again, College of Science Career Center Liaison. I hope that everyone had a very restful winter break and is ready for the start of the spring 2015 semester.
Please encourage your students to register for SpartaJobs. This allows students to preview job and internship opportunities, but it also provides the career center access to collect employer/salary surveys from them.
Once again, the career center will provide a variety of events and services that will assist the students with their career development needs. Here are the highlights for this semester:
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS
Internship Awareness Did you know? Of the students who obtained employment in FY 2013-2014, approximately 50% worked as an intern. An internship can be a valuable step into your future career. Learn how at Internship Awareness Day on February 11th, 12-2pm
Connect with Employers: Job & Internship Fairs are open to all SJSU students and registered alumni in all majors. Complete the online job fair success workshop to increase your marketability and to obtain an Early Bird Pass. Business casual or professional business dress strongly recommended.
