Helpful Updates to Lurie College Teaching Credential Programs

Due to the current suspension of in-person classes due to COVID-19 across the CSU system, the Executive Order N-25-20 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom requiring adherence to social distancing guidelines, as well as the growing number of school districts that are closing and moving to alternative modes of instruction, the CSU Office of the Chancellor has issued a temporary, limited suspension of the requirement in EO 1077 regarding 45 hours of documented field experience in a K-12 classroom as an admission requirement. The temporary suspension will be reviewed at the beginning of the 2020-21 academic year.  View the memo from the CSU Chancellor’s office.

The upcoming Applicant Orientation Sessions will also take place online:

  • Multiple Subject Credential Program | Tuesday, March 17, 4-5:30pm
  • Single Subject Credential Program | Wednesday, March 18, 4-5pm
