Job Description
Substitute yoga position available immediately in apartment building in Downtown San Jose.
6:30-7:30pm Tuesday, Thursday.
5 evenings, October 22nd thru November 5th

Instructor Requirements
Punctual – arriving on location 10 minutes before the start of the session.
Responsive – returns phone calls and e-mails within 24 hours during the week, within reason on weekends.
Reliable – able complete all scheduled appointments unless emergency
Professionally Dressed – when working for LuciFit, clothing must be clean, unwrinkled, fit well (not overly tight or overly revealing) without tears or stains. Name tag or T-shirt may become part of the dress code in the future.

MPowered Bootcamps is a community-based, outdoor bootcamp owned and operated by husband and wife. At MPowered Bootcamps, we strive to help our members reach their health and fitness goals in a fun and motivating atmosphere. The bootcamp workouts combine strength training, cardio, and high intensity interval training. We work out under the sun in the beautiful outdoors and promise that no two workouts will ever be the same. We are looking for a new trainer to join our team who is available to teach 1-3 classes a week with the flexibility to be a sub if any trainers are sick or on vacation.

 

As a trainer at MPowered Bootcamps you will be expected to:

  • Create effective, dynamic and fun workouts
  • Provide motivating bootcamp instruction to groups varying in size from 5-30 people
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to each class
  • Track attendance through mobile app
  • Responsible for managing their own schedule (schedules will be fairly consistent and are always posted in advance through our online scheduling site)

Qualifications:

  • CPR and First Aid Certification (this can be obtained once hired)
  • Previous fitness experience is preferred, but not required (we can train the right person!)
  • Some education in kinesiology or related field
  • Personal Training or Group Fitness Certification is a plus (Applicant can be in pursuit of this or start once hired)

Since 1979, Skyhawks has been offering classes and camps in a variety of sports including, baseball, soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, golf, track & field, cheerleading and much more. We are looking for folks who are reliable, highly motivated, energetic and enjoy working with children. Both coaching positions as well as site director roles are available.

Skyhawks is a national sports program provider for children ages 4-14. They run youth sports programs in partnership with cities and community organizations.

Currently, Skyhawks are looking for a few coaches who would be interested in coaching some of our year round sports programs and summer camps.   Skyhawks’ purpose is to “teach life skills through sports.” We offer the following sports programs: soccer, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, flag football, golf, volleyball, track & field and multi-sport.

WAGES
Our wages are very competitive. Hourly rates range from $10.50-$18/hour depending on experience.

SCHEDULE
Summer camps are typically 9am-Noon or 9am-3pm Monday through Friday. Staff will work 18-19 hours/week for half-day programs and 33-34 hours/week for full day camps. Weekly camps usually begin starting in June and conclude the third week in August. We also have coaching opportunities for our year-round programs that run September through June.

REQUIREMENTS
Must pass a background check – we run background checks through LiveScan
You should love working with kids and bring boundless enthusiasm to the job
Must have reliable transportation and willing to drive to locations within South Peninsula
Capable of transporting equipment – you’ll have equipment through the duration of the program and must be responsible for maintaining it
Coaches and Site Directors must be first aid certified. Directors also CPR certified.
All of our scheduling is done online so you must be reachable via the Internet. Cell phones are also a requirement.
