New MySJSU Login Experience

Single Sign-On Experience

“Single Sign-On” means that you can log in a single time to one application and won’t have to type in your SJSUOne ID and password when switching to a new application. Your logged in status will last approximately four hours, after which you’ll have to put in your SJSUOne ID and password again.

This update starts with MySJSU, SpartaJobs, and IPSA and is just the initial step. Over time, additional applications on campus (Google Apps, Canvas, WebEx, et al) will be integrated into the system.

On July 27, the login screen for MySJSU will change to:

Past Student Transcripts

Past students who have attended SJSU can access unofficial transcripts using the Alumni Transcripts link. Current students can access unofficial transcripts via MySJSU.

It’s Important To Log Out

Since your logged-in status will carry across from app to app, the my.sjsu.edu Apps Portal site now features a large, red logout button. At the end of the day or when you’re done using a public computer, be sure to click the logout button or close all your browser windows. This ends the Single Sign-On session and will keep other people from accessing your accounts.

Security Reminder: Lock Your Computer

If you leave your desk for any period of time during the day, please lock your workstation (on Windows it’s called “Lock this computer,” on Macs it’s called “Sleep”) so no one has access to any of your open applications.

Spring Cleaning for my.sjsu.edu!

We heard you!  After feedback from focus groups, IT Services has launched an update to the my.sjsu.edu website that seeks to enhance user experience. The MySJSU page has more than a million visitors per year, making it one of the pages on campus with the highest amount of traffic.

Updates are made based upon user feedback from the university community, website accessibility requirements, and user behavior analysis. It will remain an enhanced gateway page to applications, information, and self-help technical assistance. Our aim is to make it easier and faster for you to find what is most relevant and meaningful.

The new look and feel of the website is Phase 1 of the bigger MySJSU website update project. Phase 2 will be rolling out sometime during the Fall 2015 semester.

The MySJSU website update project is ongoing and we’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can make the site better! If you are interested in joining the conversation, please attend our discussion sessions around the MySJSU webpage.

Please let us know your availability through this Doodle Poll – we would love to hear from you and will schedule more focus group sessions.

New Look & Feel for my.sjsu.edu

IT Services has launched an update to the my.sjsu.edu website today.  The enhancements to this site have been made after feedback from the campus community to improve user experience.  The goal of the new page is to be a gateway page to applications, information and self-help technical assistance.  One of the major changes was moving SJSU’s applications to the top for faster access to these services.  The content on the page has been streamlined so students, faculty and staff can find the content faster and easier.

We are asking for participation in a brief survey in regards to the changes to the website.

Please visit my.sjsu.edu to see the new look and feel!
