The Workstation Refresh Program provides student labs, faculty and staff, with the latest in computing technology. Through this program, new desktops, laptops, tablets and a virtual desktop infrastructure will replace aging equipment found on campus today.
During the 2013-14 academic year, more than 1000 desktops, 1500 monitors and 600 laptops were replaced in the more than 100 computer labs and common-use areas on campus.
For the 2014-15 academic year we are focusing on replacing machines for faculty and staff use. Currently, the program is on schedule with more than 700 computers being replaced this academic year!
IT Services is excited to bring the latest in desktop technology to SJSU faculty. We will work with the administrators in each area to purchase, schedule and refresh equipment. IT Services is also driving programs to enable access using your SJSUOne account, keep computers up to date with IBM Endpoint Manager and to recycle your old machine easily and securely with our Disposition and Recycling Services.
