There has been a slight change in the SJSUOne password requirements:

Google recently changed their minimum password required to 8.  The next time the user’s password is updated, the users will need to increase their password to 8 characters to use GMail.  People with 7 character passwords that are already logging in to GMail should be able to continue to do so until either they update their password or their password expires.

The password must be at least 8 characters and not more than 16 characters long, and must contain at least 1 alpha character, 1 number, and 1 ‘special character’ (such as $, !, @). Passwords can not contain the following special characters: “/”, “%” or “&”. During activation we also ask you to select and answer 5 Challenge Questions. Should you ever forget your password phrase you’ll be able to reset your lost password if you are able to correctly answer 2 out of those 5 questions.
