Campus Marketplace – New User Interface

Campus Marketplace by ESM is updating to a new user interface, which makes for a convenient and intuitive shopping experience that will be familiar to anybody who has navigated a modern best in class e-commerce site. The new user interface for Campus Marketplace will go live on April 2, 2018.

The updated login portal allows users to shop and manage purchases all with a single click from the new dashboard. Recently viewed items, saved selections, preferred suppliers, and favorite products are all now easier to find. Shoppers may now quickly sort for items from pens to sophisticated laboratory equipment and review or filter a variety of options before checking out using enhanced cart functionality.

No action is required by Campus Marketplace users since the implementation will not affect their accounts and any unfinished or pending orders they may have.

New Director of Acquisitions Management

From the AVP of Finance:

I am very pleased to announce that Kathleen Prunty will be joining us as Director of Acquisitions Management on Monday, March 26th. Kathleen has an impressive mix of CSU, and private sector experience. For the past 10 years, Kathleen has led Procurement and Support Services at the Pomona campus. Before joining the CSU, she held logistics, supply chain and sales positions in private industry. Kathleen received a BA in Organizational Studies from Pitzer College and she is a Certified Purchasing Manager.

Kathleen is well known throughout the CSU system. Having served in several officer positions with the Procurement & Support Services Officers Association, she is known as a strong leader and a highly regarded procurement professional. What impresses me most about Kathleen is her commitment to staff development and continuous learning; she regularly teaches courses in purchasing and negotiation for the CSU and the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO). Kathleen has an engaging presence and a “bias to action” that will serve SJSU well.

Please join me in giving Kathleen a big Spartan welcome.

New Special Projects Manager for Finance

From Marna Genes, AVP-Finance:

I am pleased to announce a new position for Shauna Rios in the Finance group. On March 19th, Shauna will assume the role of Manager-Special Projects. Her portfolio is best described as wide-ranging – it includes Public Records Act requests, business process redesign, change management, and project management. In this new role, Shauna’s focus will be on improving your experience with our systems, processes, procedures and policies. Her efforts will guide us in providing better resources (education), streamlining processes, and increasing response times. I hope you will partner with her in this new and exciting role.

About Shauna: Shauna started with SJSU in 2007 as the Assistant to the AVP of Finance. Her commitment to customer service made her stand out as an ideal candidate to lead Finance’s customer service team in 2011, and she was one of the founding members of the Finance Support unit when it formed in 2013. Shauna holds a BA in Liberal Studies from CSU Stanislaus, where she also worked prior to coming to SJSU.
